The Gathering Place Bistro, Invercauld road, Braemar 013397 412 34
Bistro
At the entrance to the village of Braemar you will find The Gathering Place, a small family run bistro. Owners Sandie and Iain take pride in producing exciting dishes sourcing local ingredients as far as possible. Unlike many local restaurants, The Gathering Place makes all the dishes on the premises, including the desserts! Iain is an innovative, classically trained chef, with a wealth of experience gained both at home and abroad, which shows in the quality of the food he produces. Our main menu is updated frequently and is always available to view live on this site. We have a specials board which is updated daily, with many interesting and delicious dishes- again live on this site - also a chefs special dish of the day, the dish the chef thinks is particularly good that day.
We do get exceptionally busy at times so booking is really essential. We can cater for small functions, please enquire on the form located on this site or call us.
Special Dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice - if in doubt please call us.
Braemar
Braemar is a small highland village located on the upper reaches of the River Dee. It is around 58 miles west of Aberdeen in the newly founded Cairngorms National Park. Braemar is the ideal place to visit if you like the outdoor life. Some of the highest mountains in Scotland are accessed from Braemar - and some of the most spectacular scenery and wildlfe! We also have the Glenshee Ski center just up the road, which is the largest ski center in Scotland.
